Why did you choose to sponsor InvestOps Europe in 2023?

Matthew: We rebooked this year because of the quality of the event itself. The speakers and delegates are of a good senior level. They know the investment operations space which is exactly the sort of conversations we want to have. A good event for us is one where we learn things, get to network and get to tell people what we do, and here at InvestOps we can do all three.

How have you found the quality of delegates and the networking opportunities?

Matthew: The delegates have very much been relevant to us, they’re predominantly the right level. If you look at the quality of topics that were discussed, the people on the panels and the people in the audience, they’re a good fit for us.

During the networking breaks we’ve had a number of people come over and chat to us. They’ve been nice and lengthy too, that’s probably the highlight of it. It’s been very relaxed and everyone’s been open to conversation. We probably had our best conversations during the networking breaks, it’s been great.

Have you managed to attend any of the sessions?

Matthew: I attended some sessions first thing this morning, one of the panels around simplification of the operating model was superb. It’s great to hear the industry confirm what we’ve been discussing internally, that reminds us we’re doing the right thing which is always good.

Would you say it’s important to sponsor InvestOps in the future?

Matthew: I think for us specifically, in the markets we’re targeting, this is one of our key events to sponsor so yes, I’m sure we’ll be here next year. Sponsoring is definitely going to have a positive impact on our 2024 business goals. We’ve had conversations today that will accelerate some of our activities for next year.
