Darren Thomas

Darren Thomas leads the global Counterparty Manager and Regulatory initiatives team that provides the expertise and resources to enable customers to simplify data management, ensure regulatory compliance and control costs. He has two decades of experience in driving technology change and ensuring regulatory compliance. Darren is active in the industry dialogue and with trade associations regarding regulation implementation across Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and MiFID II and MiFIR. He previously was co-head of the ISDA Credit Derivatives Implementation Working Group. Formerly, he worked at Barclays, where he ran futures, OTC clearing, FX and prime broker operations. He directly managed the creation of Barclays' OTC clearing service. He was at UBS for six years and began his career as a management consultant at PwC
